What is palliative care at home?

Palliative home care means that individuals are able to remain in their own homes while receiving round the clock end-of-life care. Palliative carers move into the home of the person they’re looking after and provide round-the-clock support. Our live-in carers are expertly trained to deliver palliative care at home to clients reaching the end of life and, understanding what a distressing and fearful time it can be, they work closely with doctors, district nurses and the palliative care health team to provide not just professional and practical help, but also emotional support and understanding. This makes it possible for someone to die at home as painlessly and peacefully as possible.

Our carers offer a tailored one-to-one service, helping to ease the burden that rests on the family, and allowing their relative dignity and comfort throughout.
