Safeguarding!

At TEQ healthcare services limited, the safety, dignity and wellbeing of our clients is of the utmost importance.

We recognise it is the human right of all adults to live a life that is free from abuse and neglect and that is particularly important when individuals are frail and vulnerable.

Our Safeguarding Policy sets out a clear protocol of action and a framework for our responsibilities and legal duties in relation to each client’s welfare.

We operate a robust recruitment policy to ensure that our carers have an unimpeachable track record. All are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and we also take up satisfactory references before carers begin work with us.

Before being assigned to a client, all carers are trained to have a full understanding of safeguarding issues during our comprehensive training programme. This equips them with the ability to spot indicators and to know what action to take if concerned. In addition, local safeguarding authorities are identified and their contact telephone numbers provided on the individual client’s care plans.

Carers are also taught about our Whistleblowing Policy and their duty to report any concerns to TEQ healthcare at any time of the day or night.

In the very unlikely event that any of our clients or their representatives have concerns about Safeguarding issues, please call us immediately on 020 8127 3864 and we will be happy to discuss the matter as a matter of urgency.
